Barbara Tepfer Frith was a painter, printmaker, and ceramic artist

1973:   Began wheel thrown ceramics with Bob Tebbutt, St.Paul, MN

1973-74:  Studied with Warren MacKenzie, Univ. of Minn., Mpls, MN

1990-1995:  Studied with Peter Hessemer, OCC,  Des Plaines, IL

1993:  Summer apprenticeship-Marianne Hammett, Hyde Park, IL

1995:  Anagama workshop-John Chalke, Arrowmont, Gatlinburg, TN

2001-Present:  Assistantship at Evanston Art Center, Evanston, IL 

worked with Vanessa Smith, Xiaosheng Bi, Patty Kochaver, 

Dana Shearin, Jill Oberman, Mary Dye.  Primarily soda-firing.     

Note:  Rebuilt soda kiln twice.

2001-2003:  Summer wood firings with Dubuque artists, Galena, IL.

2008: Helped design and fire large front-loading kiln for artist,

  Janet Henderson, in Punta del Este, Uruguay
